As India moves towards Viksit Bharat 2047, building a resilient and future-ready healthcare system will depend significantly on the strength of its Allied Health workforce. 

To enable a coordinated national conversation, India House, in partnership with Pahle India Foundation and Virohan, is convening a closed-door multi-stakeholder roundtable in New Delhi. The dialogue is designed to bridge policy and practice by bringing together leaders across government, regulation, academia, healthcare institutions, and industry.

PURPOSE: The roundtable aims to explore the evolving role of allied healthcare in India’s 2047 health vision and surface practical pathways for coordinated sector growth.

Theme 1: Allied Healthcare and India’s 2047 Health Vision
The dialogue will examine how Allied Health Professionals must evolve to support universal access, higher quality care, and greater system efficiency. It will focus on the scale, capability, and adaptability required over the next two decades.
Theme 2: Aligning Training, Practice, and System Needs
The discussion will assess how institutions, hospitals, and industry are responding to changing care environments. It will identify gaps in skills, early-career transitions, and areas where stronger coordination is needed.
