Dr. Rahul Mhaskar: Architect of Academic Excellence in Medicine

Dr. Rahul Mhaskar is a distinguished academic leader and expert in medical research and education. He currently serves as the Faculty Director of Research, Innovation & Scholarly Endeavors (RISE) and the Assistant Dean for Medical Student Research at the Morsani College of Medicine. In addition, he is a Professor of Internal Medicine and Medical Education at the same institution.

Dr. Mhaskar’s research is widely recognized in the fields of public health and medical education, with a particular focus on improving healthcare outcomes through innovation and evidence-based practices. His contributions to the field have earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Robert A. Good Honor Society membership in 2021, the Thomas C. Chalmers Award from the Cochrane Collaboration in 2011, and the Young Investigator Research Award from the YUMA Friends of Arizona Health Science Center in 2005.

Dr. Mhaskar’s educational journey includes a PhD in Public Health from the University of South Florida (2010), an MPH in Public Health from the University of Arizona (2005), and a medical degree from the University of Pune (1999). His work continues to shape the next generation of medical professionals, advancing both research and medical education with a commitment to excellence.
